Fort Lauderdale Florida fishing report

We are starting to get into the spring pattern we wait all winter for. The last few days has been great. Live bait fishing just a mile off the beach has produced Dolphin, Kingfish, Bonita and Mackerel. No Sailfish recently but they can re appear any day. A few large Hammerhead Shark swam through our baits but didn't stop to taste them. We even had a pair of full grown Wright Whales pass a 100 yards from us. They were doing the typical moves on the surface and really gave us a unique show.

The inlet is holding the ever present Jack Crevalle and Barracuda. The size has been better then usual too. This bite should continue to increase in action as we get deeper into spring.
