Fort Lauderdale Florida sportfishing reportReport Date: December 24, 2011Closing out another year. Just got a break in the weather, finally. It has been windy most everyday the last 3 or 4 weeks. That means big seas. I did find great inshore action with Jack Crevalles and Barracudas on the calm harbor and canals to fill in the days. The winds calmed down and we are heading offshore again. We did hit the payoff with nice Dolphin, Kingfish and Sailfish. Some waiting between bites but nice fish once hooked up. This is the season for live bait fishing offshore. Still warm but cool weather will come and is welcome. Cooler temps bring more fish into our waters and I don't mind bouncing around as long as the rods are bent. |
